Heather Sederholm

I am currently a student at BYU located in Provo, Utah, graduating in April 2020. My major is Public Health with an emphasis in Environmental and Occupational Health. While attending school I work two jobs, one for ShineSolar, a solar company, and another for the local Utah County Health Department. For the Health Department I work as an Environmental Technician to check public pool and hot tubs in Utah County to make sure their swimming water is safe for public use. For ShineSolar I work with the sales team to provide them with the information they need to sell. This includes building a house on an online program and fitting panels onto them, then converting this information into a document for the sales team to use. This document shows what financial costs and benefits a solar system would have for customers. I work closely with sales associates on what system would be best for each customer. I have worked both these jobs to fund my education and gain work experience while still attending school. Both these jobs and previous jobs in custodial on campus, and sales at a boutique while in high school have taught me people skills in the workplace with your coworkers but also with customers and the people you are providing service to. These have also drilled in me hard work and dedication with performing tasks to the best of my ability and constantly trying to improve myself in whatever field I am in.
