About
As an educator, it is my job to develop and deliver a rigorous curriculum that is engaging and differentiated for all of my students. Creating curriculum is my favorite part of my job and I recently finished my second Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction. I am in my ninth year of teaching and my seventh year of being the ELA Department Chair. As Department Chair, I am in charge of the department budget and attend monthly meetings at both the school and district levels. It is my job to disseminate the information to my department and make informed decisions with my teachers about what's best for our students. I also lead my department's PLC (professional learning community) by setting the agendas, requesting/providing information, and helping with data analysis to inform our decision making about our lessons/instruction/assessments. Most importantly, my job as an educator is to foster an environment of community in my classroom where all students feel welcome and wanted. My campus is my second home and my students are my kids!
