A few things about me: My design mantra: Stellar design truly captures the unique value proposition and essence of its brand. It speaks. It listens. It understands. It beckons. It engages. I’m a big believer in building creative confidence within yourself and in others. In my experience, growth comes from a place of tenacity, careful listening, confidence, and acceptance of constructive critique. I’m always analyzing, thinking iteratively, and experimenting. Whether I’m focusing on accessibility, conceptual frameworks, or diving into the psychology of an end user, I strive to be a strategic asset as well as an aesthetic professional. To me, designers are communicators, makers, innovators, teachers, and storytellers. I think the true magic of brand trust-building often happens quietly and unassumingly, but powerfully. Rather than selling a product, you’re selling a feeling—the promise of something that can make an impact. I aim to create carefully cultivated brand experiences. I recognize that expertly crafted design is and should be impacted by everyday consumer observations and judgments. My freelance business has allowed me to polish my business acumen, strategic consulting, and collaboration skills, while teaching in higher education has refined my ability to speak in accessible lay terms, to connect with others, and to appreciate the distinct ways in which we all perceive, navigate, and learn. I have a passion for teaching—in the classroom, in presentations with my clients, and in my quest to be a lifelong learner. The more general knowledge I have, the more likely I am to connect with my clients’ individual needs, products, and services. When combined with whip-smart strategy, empathy, careful brand governance, and clear, resonating storytelling, a brand can become unstoppable. I lean on the design process to create meaningful and effective solutions. To me, it’s critical to understanding a client’s needs, helps keep everyone on the same page, and ensures that I’m being holistic in my approach. Throughout my career, I have thrived most when I've been presented with new challenges. I’m most creative when I’m stimulated and using my skillset to its full potential.
