At the VÖWG my role, as the managing director, is to make the business decisions as well as designing and or improving the operational processes. In general, I am dedicated to setting and directing the strategy for the organisation and guarding its overall results. Nevertheless, I do not shy away from, once in a while, taking the hands-on role in the organisation such as hiring staff, etc. But, first and foremost, the interests of the VÖWG members is my most important focus point. The VÖWG is dedicated to the spirit of social partnership! Another main focus point is representing the Austrian section of public economy within the European Union Social Partners. Due to my practical experience and expertise regarding how the European Parliament ticks (it's decision making processes) I am appointed as the executive with decision-making power under corporate policies or statutes. As such, I closely deal with the European Commission as well as the European Parliament. Furthermore, I am a member of several specially constituted boards or committees (Board CEEP, Board CIRIEC, Board CEDEC, Board of Directors Wien Energie). My motto: well organised public services are the key for quality of living!
