Heinrich Pohl

I qualified as a medical doctor with MBChB at the University of Pretoria in 2005. Thereafter my love of surgery was kindled whilst completing internship and community service programs in Uitenhage in the Eastern Cape. My specialty training was completed at Tygerberg Hospital (University of Stellenbosch) and I was admitted as a Fellow of the College of Surgeons of South Africa in 2014. My master's degree paper focused on genetic signatures utilization in breast cancer management and from this, my interest in breast cancer care was borne. I continued at Tygerberg Hospital as a consultant in the Surgical Intensive Care Unit gaining vital knowledge and skills for the next phase: my growing private practice, established in Somerset West and servicing the Helderberg and greater Winelands area.
