• Responsible for banking, deposits, cheques, payables, receivables • Responsible for making journal entries and data entry • Responsible for preparing monthly bank reconciliations • Responsible for monitoring employee expenses • Responsible for daily accounting tasks and updating information in IT systems • Responsible for preparing and reviewing monthly financial statements • Responsible for preparing monthly balance sheet reconciliations • Responsible for payroll processing and payroll journal entries • Responsible for government remittances (sales taxes, deductions at source) • Responsible for monitoring accounting team members (full-time and part-time) • Involved in daily cash flow management and monthly budget preparation • Involved in cash call calculation for partners’ and fund’s equity contributions • Involved in automating and consolidating reports from different software • Involved in the development and implementation of company policies (petty cash, expense reports, commissions) • Involved in preparation and execution of year-end audits (RCGT)
