Editor, travel writer, copywriter, sub-editor and researcher all in one highly experienced package. I have been travelling since my early 20s, heading off on my first backpacking adventure to Europe in 1983. Those days ignited the fire of visiting new places, meeting new people, and going off the beaten track to discover true gems. Having worked as a radio announcer in my first job out of school, the skills I picked up interviewing everyone from politicians to rock bands carried over to my writing career, and I am a firm believer that it is the characters I have met on various trips that really add to my stories. In travel, my first editing job was on Taxi magazine in London, and since then I have worked as an editor on Escape (Countrylink), AFTA Traveller, Breakaway, Vacations & Travel (two stints), Holidays with Kids, MiNDFOOD and Ski and Snowboard with Kids. I also have contributed to many magazines and newspapers. I still have friends from each and every job I have had, and many clients I have met through partnerships with the various publications I have edited I am so happy to also count as friends. I have a very strong team ethos and find great delight in working with all team members to achieve success for the publication we are working on. I present a travel segment weekly on the Michael McLaren Overnights show on Nine Radio.
