Dedicated neonatal intensive care nurse with extensive healthcare experience within my chosen specialty. I have worked locally and internationally in hospitals that have adopted national and international standards to deliver quality care. During my 10 years of clinical practice, I have developed leadership skills through various assignments such as rostering, care coordination, mentorship and performance evaluation. I chose to transition to an educational specialist role 5 years ago to further develop my management skills in terms of project management, team leadership, and adult learning methodologies. I believe that nursing leadership is about developing staff’s knowledge, skills and attitude within the clinical environment to deliver optimum quality of care. I am a culturally aware professional with the ability to work within multi-specialty teams from diverse backgrounds. I am proficient in delivering projects under pressure to meet deadlines. I believe that my clinical expertise combined with my educational experience renders me suitable for my next transition into a nursing leadership role.
