Hen Qian

I'm a data engineer for KK Women and Children's Hospital, which is the largest hospital specializing in healthcare for women and children in Singapore. In this role I facilitate teams and utilize technology to help solve some of healthcare's biggest problems. One of our most exciting work to date is creating an automated hand hygiene which tracks and reminds healthcare workers to perform hand hygiene. Not only were we able to alleviate the workload from nurses performing manual audits, we were also able to show an increase in hand hygiene compliance. Before joining KKH, I completed my studies in NUS, specializing in electronics and biomedical engineering. I truly believe that using technology, even simple ones, would improve healthcare efficiency. I am truly passionate about my work, integrating innovation in daily healthcare activities and also includes lots of connecting with healthcare workers, engineers and leaders.
