Having been an early pioneer of algorithmic and high-frequency trading, I have been writing consistently profitable algorithms and overseeing corresponding software development and hardware procurement for my trading desk since 2001. My team and I have employed innovation, invention and the pragmatic use of targeted technology to adapt to the continuous evolution of market dynamics and contain costs. Although broadly overlooked, algorithmic trading was the first real and broad use of artificial intelligence in transforming an entire industry.
