Hervé T.

Hervé Trouillet studied advertising design and art. Destined to enter the world of advertising, he finally went into animation. Self-taught in the majority of tools, he trained himself in the various fields of animation. He began to innovate using tools such as flash, combining traditional and vectoral animation. He soon became a well-known professional in this sector. His mastery of the various tools (animation, colour, editing, compositing, matt painting, character design, etc.) and his innovative professional vision led him into the post of director at the age of 30. Previously, he worked on various French and international productions. Entrepreneur and visionary, Hervé set up his own studio in 2009 Forge Animation, where he tried a different working style. He realised that important new actors were emerging and offering new approaches in terms of targeting. He found new sources of funding, created a video game studio and an animation studio with the idea of having these two worlds work very closely together, using transmedia. He employed 40 people, purchased the rights of a science fiction book, whose universe was rich enough to justify creation of a licence. His idea was to have a live action producer work on the animation (this would be Jan Kounen) using his directorial skills in the service of animation. Today he work with Cédric Biscay CEO of Shibuya Productions with the role of Artistic Director of his company and suggested he produce a new series of Cobra. Hervé therefore concentrated on his first career, development, to design and develop the concept and story and convinced Buichi Terasawa of the efficacy and modernity (whilst respecting the original work) of this new series.
