About

I've never been afraid to take the lead when a challenge presents itself. Even as a teenager, I viewed challenges as opportunities for innovation, community-building, and problem-solving. In high school, I initiated a student-led theater production when our school lacked an adult theater director. In college, I started an award-winning student organization to reduce food waste on campus, which resulted in thousands of meals donated to individuals in need. Since then, I've led the implementation of new non-profit programs, propelled an underdog presidential candidate into the mainstream media, and led advance operations for a contending New York City mayoral campaign. My career experiences thus far have shared the same underlying motivation—to fix something that's broken. To challenge the status quo. To reject mediocrity and aspire to a better world. In the summer of 2021, I decided to pursue a master's in education and a position in teaching. I chose this path because I believe strongly in equitable access to a free and fair education. I currently work in a public school in the South Bronx, serving as the special education teacher for the 10th grade. In addition, I serve as the grade team leader, leading the 10th grade team of teachers to problem-solve and best support our students. From this firsthand experience, I understand the challenges young people, teachers, and families face during the post-COVID era, and I’m committed to fighting for the solutions they deserve. It is my hope that I can combine my experience in education, political communications, and non-profit work to continue to work towards a more efficient, productive, and fair society, especially as it relates to education and youth.
