Hitoshi NISHIKAWA, PhD, MBA

NISHIKAWA Hitoshi, PhD, MBA received his B.A. In policy management and the Master of Media and Governance from Keio University in 2006 and 2008, respectively, and his PhD. In computer science from Nara Institute of Technology with Excellent Student Scholarship in 2013. He also received his MBA degree from IE business school with Beta Gamma Sigma in 2017. He was a research scientist at Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corporation from 2008 to 2015. Then, he joined Tokyo Institute of Technology as an assistant professor of its School of Computing. Since March 2022, He has been working at alt inc. As Vice President of Engineering. His research interests lie in the area of natural language processing, especially automatic summarization and natural language generation. He has been engaged in the study of automatic summarization and putting its technology into practical use for approximately 10 years. His mission is to develop a mathematical model that approximates linguistic phenomena and to come up with novel applications through the model.
