Ik ben Hong Wah Chan, een natuurkundig ingenieur die affiniteit heeft met het toepassen en detecteren van straling voor o.a. Medical imaging en deeltjesfysica. Dit uitte zich in een afstudeerthesis en een vierjarige promotietraject met het doel om een nieuwe (foton)detector te bouwen. De veelzijdigheid van zo'n project, dat experimenteel onderzoek, simulaties en microfabricage omvat, maakt het uitdagend en interessant tegelijk.
