Geologist and geostatistician, widely experienced leading Mineral Resources teams in mine Operations and Project Development, expert in epithermal, porphyry and skarn systems (Au, Ag, Cu, Mo, Zn, Pb, etc.). I’m the Competent Person for Mineral Resources for MMG Las Bambas (Cu-Mo porphyry and skarn), and previously for Gold Fields and Anglo American, responsible for the annual resource company reports, according to JORC code. I had an outstanding participation in the discovery, development, construction, and operation of the Lagunas Norte (Barrick) HS epithermal gold mine and been also directly involved in the kick-off of giant porphyry Cu (Mo, Zn, Pb, etc.) deposits such as Antamina and Quellaveco. I’ve also leaded the resource expansion of Cerro Corona (Cu-Au porphyry) through an accurate near-mine exploration program and thorough optimization of geology, geometallurgy and geotechnical models. I’m an expert in all stages of mining geology and an ambassador of the excellence through visible leadership in safety and environmental health.
