Hui Zhao

I graduated from Savannah College of Art and Design and Beijing University of Technology majoring in Industrial Design. Not only have I excellent academic performance in all courses and careers, I also possess the rich experience of assisting design staff of several renowned international companies, such as Philips and Freescale when I took the graduate program in SCAD. I am very interested in designing meaningful products. I have design experiences through several works and projects which are mainly products design and I am able to draw sketches, render 2D with Illustrator, Indesign, Photoshop, CorelDraw and produce 3D models with Rhino, etc. My study also has been instrumental in shaping my successful career. After I graduated from SCAD, I worked for Industrial Designers Society of China. There a periodical called DESIGN and I was in charge of several special columns. It is a good platform and promotional literature in Industrial Design field and the Light Industry. I had good opportunities to meet art directors, designers, presidents and design specialists from all over the world, such as IDSA and iF International Forum Design GmbH. I also had opportunities to communicate and interviewed with the president of The International Council of Societies of Industrial Design, British Trade International, and Finnish Funding Agency for Technology and Innovation which made me benefited from stimulating interaction. Two years later, as a strategy cooperation manager in China Household Electric Appliance Research Institute, I was in charge of building up the relationship between governmental organization, professional institute, associations, companies including IDEO, Frog, Continuum, Smart Design, Saatchi&Saatchi, etc. In all these efforts, I opened up international cooperation, helped International Enterprises to dig into market, promote bilateral cooperation and achieved a win-win situation.
