Hunter Hext

I am currently a 17 year-old aspiring business student at Pewaukee High School. Some of the clubs I am involved with are Best Buddies, Ski Club, National Honor Society, and Ping-Pong club. In addition, I participate in two sports; soccer and golf. Also, I really enjoy being around people, whether it be in a casual or professional setting. This motivates me to find a job in the future where I am constantly communicating with people, a management job perhaps. To help me immerse myself into the business world, I joined the Insight program. This amazing program allowed me to receive a mentor who is in a career field of my interest. My mentor is a great guy and after every meeting with him, I am left with a feeling of excitement towards my professional future. Along with talking about finance and public relations, my mentor and I really like to shoot the breeze. The other component about Insight that was really beneficial was the part about working on projects with real businesses. A 17 year-old kid taking on real projects, pretty overwhelming, but also pretty awesome! In these projects I enhanced skills such as teamwork, communication, and meeting deadlines. My goal in the upcoming years is to find a good college that specializes in either the management or marketing field.
