"Huy has goals that he wishes to achieve and is a hard worker who has the drive and discipline to attain these goals. Most importantly, Huy is adaptable; for example, when he first came to Thunder Bay from Calgary, he felt the shift from a big city to small fairly remote city, and he wasn’t sure if he liked the change. But he persevered, studying and practicing to improve both his grades and his wrestling performance. His athletic career continued on an upward trajectory as did his academic program so that he has accomplishments in both. I believe this adaptability and his ability to balance schoolwork with athletic pursuits indicate his suitability for an internship program where he would need to get along with a variety of people in a variety of circumstances. Huy would bring excellent team building and team membership skills that he has learned to adapt to a wide variety of circumstances: at work, school and sports. His optimistic outlook and friendly personality have helped him adopt Thunder Bay as a second home so I am confident he would be able to fit in well with the expectations the Ontario Municipal Internship Program would have. His wrestling background has given him the edge of competing individually while being a member of a tightly-knit team. His determination has helped him improve his grades and achieve in his academic and career-related pursuits. Finally, his outgoing personality and genuine good nature make him pleasant company.
