Current Roles Chartered Quality Institute – 2012 – current Business synopsis – A £5M P.A. ‘Not for Profit Organisation employing circa 50 people and a further 300 volunteers, the CQI is the chartered body for quality professionals with 20,000 members across the globe. Responsibility – As Board Chair and Trustee; the governance and control of the CQI consistent with the requirements laid out in the Royal Charter. To set strategy and policy and approve and monitor its efficient and effective implementation and to manage the CQI's exposure to risk. Line Manager for the CEO. Key Achievements – Restructured the governance structure to add more value, changed the CEO to provide better focus, introduced a 10-year strategy and addressed a financial structural deficit. Network Rail– 2012 – current Business synopsis – An ‘At Arm’s Length Public Body’ owning, operating and developing Britain’s railway infrastructure with more than 4.8 million journeys made every day, in the UK Responsibility – As Transformation Director; develop and deliver the strategic vision and direction for governance, assurance and business change to deliver on commitments both internally and for external stakeholders Key Achievements –Transformed the infrastructure investment operating model to achieve Control Period 5 (2014 – 19) schedule, cost and safety targets, delivered the ‘Hendy Review’ of the £19B capital investment portfolio and established the governance, risk and assurance framework for the business.
