I have been in the transport industry for 40 years. I started when I was 17 years old as a driver’s assistant and then started driving trucks as soon as I was old enough to get my heavy traffic licence. About 10 years later I was offered the chance to become an owner driver for a large freight company which I did for 14 years. After 24 years on the road it was time to challenge myself to something more and as I have a passion for trucks, I wanted to stay within the industry. I then took an opportunity to start selling trucks for a major Japanese brand which I have done for 13 ½ years and now I have moved to NZ’s number one selling brand to open the next chapter in my career.
