Ian Stannard

I am a specialist consultant in clinical classifications with over 25 years’ experience. I have extensive front line clinical coding experience with many years as a hospital clinical coding manager and health records manager in London but have worked commercially through CODEinfo Ltd since 2004. I am also co-founder, director and member of the Professional Association of Clinical Coders (PACC-UK), a member of the British Institute of Learning and Development (BILD) and a senior associate member of the Royal Society of Medicine. I have worked in a wide range of clinical coding associated roles including training, audit and examiner and I was formerly the Coding Lead for the Institute of Health Records and Information Management. I have been an examiner for both the NHS National Clinical Coding Qualification and the PACC-UK Clinical Coding Certificate and I am an NHS approved national clinical coding trainer and audit. Whilst continuing to deliver services to organisations within the UK, I live in South Queensland, Australia and divide my professional time between the two countries.
