Ian Wilshaw

As KPMG’s Advisory Practice Leader in the Greater Vancouver Area, Ian leads the firm’s rapidly growing Advisory business in British Columbia. The KPMG Advisory Services team has specialists across all our consulting offerings, including Management Consulting, Risk Consulting, Cybersecurity, Deal Advisory, Data and Analytics, and Customer and Digital Consulting. Ian specialized in transaction services and due diligence-related work for over 20 years, and focuses on providing independent information and advice to help companies in various industry sectors maximize shareholder value. Ian’s experience includes corporate transactions (acquisitions, disposals, IPOs), work for private equity providers and due diligence for debt providers. He has a broad perspective, having worked with a large number of Canadian corporations on domestic transactions, purchasers investing outside of Canada, and Canadian companies listing overseas. Ian has led and delivered in excess of 250 financial due diligence engagements over his career. The focus of these engagements has been the independent and objective assessment of the financial position and prospects of businesses. Ian is a Director on the Board of Prostate Cancer Foundation BC since 2013, a non-profit organization providing resources for prostate cancer awareness, support & research in Canada.
