Ida Allen

In my previous positions, I have worked with diverse populations such as families, elderly, disabled (physically and mentally), immigrants, adolescents, pregnant women, and domestic abuse survivors. In those positions, I have provided health education around, HIV/Substance Abuse, prenatal care, domestic violence and counseling (both individuals and in group settings) and coordinated services with other organizations and agencies including the criminal justice system. In addition, I have also worked as an advocate for individuals and their families. During the course of my career, I have developed treatment plans, intakes, psycho-social assessments and progress notes. I also have worked on and enjoy working with a multi-disciplinary team that includes caregivers, nurses, case managers and other service providers. Additionally, in all of my client interactions, I have consistently developed effective rapport which has often allows them to reach their treatment plan goals through collaborative goal setting that promotes self-reflection.
