Ieuan Evans MBE

I am a former Wales and British and Irish Lions rugby international who has spent most of his playing days as part of Carmarthen Quins RFC, Neath RFC and Llanelli RFC – as part of a team who won 5 of 7 cup finals. I finished my professional career with Bath, winning the Heineken Cup in 1998. I have 72 caps for Wales, 28 of which as a captain. I captained the Wales National Side in 1994 when the team won the Five Nations Championship. I have been on three British and Irish Lions touring parties to Australia in 1989, New Zealand in 1993 and South Africa in 1997. Since the end of my playing career, I have been a Brand Ambassador for RBS, Monitise and Accenture and was appointed Business Development Director for Serco. I have also been a Board Member for the Wales Tourist Board, VisitBritain, the 2010 Ryder Cup and a Chair of the Nominet Wales Advisory Group. I am the Founder and Director of ICE 14 – a marketing communications company based in South Wales. I am also a former Sky Sports rugby pundit and have also worked for the BBC, ITV and the Telegraph as a commentator, presenter and a blog-writer.
