Ignatius Hadi

Growing up, I was one of those kids who liked to take things apart and put them back together to cure an inquisitive itch to gain a full understanding of how something works. As I become older the subjects of my curiosity grow larger and more convoluted - from simple toys to complex refineries. It was this early training combined with an innate curiosity and thirst for knowledge which ultimately carried me through 4 years of university, graduating with a First-class MEng degree in Chemical Engineering. I have always enjoyed taking part in various sports activities, be it rugby or athletics and recently took up golf. On top of that, I play the guitar and have had the highly enjoyable experience of playing in a band. All this taught me the importance of preparation, confidence to perform under pressure and team work. Now a young professional, I work at BP's Petrochemical Site in Hull where everyday my efforts and sound engineering judgements directly contribute to the safe and reliable operation of an acetic acid plant.
