While in college I found my passion in firmware engineering while working on the power systems team during the University Robotics Competition. It was here I learned that with a bit of multithreading, datasheet reading, and C++ knowhow, it is possible to set up complex systems of sensors to accomplish really cool tasks like automatic power shut off in emergency events. I used these skills to compete in and win a variety of Hackathons such as the Silicon Valley Innovation Challenge, the Stanford Health++ and the MIT COVID-19 Virtual Hackathons. After college I worked professionally as a firmware engineer where I had the opportunity to learn about product development working on IoT devices from gathering requirements and use cases to sourcing parts and compiling a BOM all the way to manufacturing and the products release. I hope to take the next step in my career by transitioning to the biomedical space so that I can use what I have learned and apply it to technology that can improve modern medicine.
