Indrajit Chattopadhyay (Chatterjee)

I am a consultant physician in geriatric & internal medicine in a busy District General Hospital in North Wales. General acute geriatric medicine, frailty and providing specialist input in intermediate care and community hospital based rehabilitation facilities interest me. I am also the Clinical Director of Care of the Elderly and community hospitals for the Central Integrated Health Community.I was the Training Programme Director for Geriatric Medicine Specialty Training from North Wales till March 2017 and represented Wales in the British Geriatric Society's Education & Training Committee. Currently I am the Regional Specialty Adviser for Geriatric Medicine for Wales on behalf of the Royal College of Physicians.As the Lead Tutor for geriatrics for Cardiff University's Year 4 medical students undertaking Chronic Disease 2 module in our hospital we have been proud in providing excellent quality teaching that receive one of the best feedback in Wales. I also enjoy my role as the Royal College of Physicians Examiner, host, international examiner for MRCP (UK) and reviewer of some peer-reviewed journals.
