Since I was a kid, I have been an ardent learner and admirer of mathematics as I am always enticed by the euphoria of solving a challenging riddle and the tickling sensation springing with the realization of a theory clicking into a particular instance. I am enthralled by how much of mathematics is involved in every discipline of study at present. My research is in the area of mathematical biology, especially mathematical modeling in infectious diseases epidemiology. I have always wanted to become an educator. Ever since I was 15 years old, I have spent countless hours informally teaching my peers and juniors in school and university. The personal sense of contentment that I derive through teaching is almost inexplicable in words. So, I also have a particular interest in research pertaining to education – teaching and education. I am currently a graduate student/PhD candidate in Mathematics at Washington State University where I have ample opportunities for exploring both fields that I am passionate about – mathematical biology and mathematics education. My favorite pastime is writing poems, and my works have been featured in many international journals, magazines, and anthologies. I am also involved with technical writing, content writing, editing, and proofreading. I also enjoy working on performance poetry, philately, notaphily, and numismatics. Besides those, I love to spend my free time doing such outdoor activities as sight-seeing and recreational swimming. In a nutshell, I am an avid learner, inquisitive researcher, devoted educator, and a driven individual with an admirable team spirit and robust work ethics.
