Ingela Sjölin

I have a long experience as a physiotherapist at Skane University Hospital. I specialized in patients with cardiovascular disease. I was elected Board Member at Regionalt Programområde Hjärt-Kärlsjukdomar in 2013 were I analyzed and illustrated the gap in secondary prevention for patients with myocardial infarction, heart failure and transplantation. Enlightened politicians and hospital directors then allocated resources to rehabilitation as a result. In 2020 I was elected to Lokalt Programområde Hjärt- Kärlsjukdomar and after a year elected as Chair of the Board, responsible for implementation of new clinical guidelines in cardiovascular and vascular diseases. In 2017 I started as PhD student in secondary prevention in cardiovascular disease. Lectured for medical students in Lund University as well as at Framtidens Specialist läkare, Vården i Kardiologi (VIC) and lecture in secondary prevention for clinical health professions in cardiology together with Riksförbundet Hjärta/Lung. Finished all courses in research school in Medical Science 2019. Alongside working as a clinical physiotherapist, in 2009 I was requested by the head of department to enhance the compliance in rehabilitation after surgery. I developed a method put on a board, called Träningstavlan (the Activity Board). A couple of years later the product was put on the market and I started my first company. Karolinska Institute started to do scientific research on the Activity Board. As soon as the first paper was published 2019 I applied to Lund University Innovation department and it was accepted as a project. The method was developed as a software presented on a touchscreen. Karolinska Institute made a feasability study on the board which is now under review. I became owner and CEO for Scandinavian Phystec AB 2019 and was accepted as an incubator company at Smile in Lund. 2022 I started to work full time with my company Scandinavian Phystec AB and Träningstavlan has a new trade mark as "Pedatim - rehabilitation step by step". We launched our new website in the beginning of 2023.
