Ingrid El Helou

I recently completed my PhD in the Hopkinson Lab in the Engineering Department at the University of Cambridge where I worked on reducing soot emissions from gas turbine burners compatible with the aviation industry. In 2019, during my third year as a PhD student, I was awarded a prestigious Amelia Earhart Fellowship. I am highly interested in sustainability and the interface between engineering, public health and the environment. I have 7 years of research experience focusing on reducing emissions from various modes of energy production. I enjoy working in teams, and love taking on new projects. I am passionate about diversity, and sat on the diversity committee of the Cambridge University Engineering Department promoting inclusivity during the period 2019-2020.
