Ignasius Axel Hutomo

Ir. Ignasius Axel Hutomo, S.T., M.Sc., IPP is a master of hydroinformatics from UN-IHE Delft and a licensed water engineer from the leading university in Indonesia, the University of Indonesia and Udayana University.With over than five years of working experience in engineering, his expertise lies in scripting languages (Python, R, and SQL), water supply, artificial intelligence, numerical modelling, leakages in water distribution systems, and machine learning. Moreover, Axel is familiar with project management and has been involved in various water-related projects, both nationally and internationally. His passion for sustainable development and innovation has driven him to continuously seek knowledge and find ways to contribute to the advancement of the water sector.Besides his professional sphere, Axel is deeply fond of youth and community empowerment in his country. Together with his colleagues, he co-founded a national Non-Governmental Organization (NGO), Inovator Nusantara, which has developed thousands of youth in 17 regions in Indonesia since 2017. A year afterwards, he led a social project in Bali Kerobokan Prison for eight months and became a project director in a social venture, Tour de Nusa Penida. During his study, Axel was also selected to become the Indonesian representative and best social project in various national and international youth conferences; Urban Youth Meeting (2016), Future Leader Summit (2016), Global Youth Forum (2017), and International Youth Forum (2017 & 2018). He was also chosen to receive Nutrifood Leadership Awards (2018) by Nutrifood, Young Leaders for Indonesia (2018) from a multi-national company -McKinsey and Company, and the DIKTI-LPDP-StuNed Joint Scholarship Awards (2021).For further inquiries: [email protected]
