Iris Yang

I am currently a first year student in accounting and finance at Seneca College. Last semester I completed basic courses, including accounting, mathematics. I have always had the habit of keeping books, which gradually made me interested in accounting and finance. For the past year, I have tried to exercise my skills by making some financial management calculations at my relatives' restaurant. I'd love to help others manage their money, which allows us to spend money efficiently. In the past time, I tried to be a restaurant waitress, which improved my English, social skills and communication skills. The course this semester involved marketing and started learning Excel, which improved my logic and production. During my time at work, I also began to observe the workings of the market, combining classroom and life experiences. I'm from China, pursuing a liberal arts expertise and writing novels. I have always believed that good books need to be known to more people in order to be passed down, so I came to Canada to study. I hope that through multilingual and multicultural learning, I can create better works. As a liberal arts student, I also don't want to give up my business opportunity. No one stipulates that there is only one direction of study, so I am very excited to choose Seneca's business program, which can also make my brain more flexible. Maybe I can run a bookstore in the future. This is a challenge for me. I will continue to learn new things and develop my skills and expertise. I'm looking for an internship to train myself. After graduation, I hope to enter a unit that suits me and be part of a financial worker. Dreams are like a compass, guiding us to run forward. I will continue to work hard to develop my abilities in all aspects of university life, and I will not forget my original aspirations.
