Irwin Bernstein

• Irwin Bernstein is an attorney and a CPA with over 30 years in the financial services industry. He is the CEO of Allgate Financial, a leading provider of outsource management services to the collection industry. In this role he has had the opportunity to work with nearly 100 collection agencies and has personal experience in the development of best practices. Irwin has participated in the acquisition, servicing and sale of over $6 billion of consumer debt portfolios. He is an active industry participant who brings to the table a successful track record as a business operator, analyst and risk manager in the highly regulated futures markets where he helped to build one of the three largest brokerage shops in the industry and honed many critical qualitative and quantitative disciplines. • Irwin is a Board Member for the Illinois Collector’s Association and a past Board Member of ACA International. He currently serves on ACA’s Legislative Council and heads the Asset Buyers Division steering committee. Irwin was an early advocate of, and served on ACA’s initial study group for, industry self-regulation. Irwin has spoken at numerous industry conferences and participated in writing key publications for ACA.
