Isabella Mazzanti

I entered the University of Illinois Chicago School of Law in 2020 as a first-generation student with an interest in civil litigation/trial work and I have been fortunate enough to gain a vast amount of experience in that area of law during my time as a student. I have worked at the State’s Attorneys Office of McHenry County, Parad Law Offices, P.C., The Law Offices of John A. Ranieri, and Clifford Law Offices, P.C, where I had a chance to work directly with practicing attorneys in my field of interest. I currently work as a law clerk under partner Bruno Marasso and senior attorney Jason Friedl at Romanucci and Blandin, LLC. In addition to working while attending law school, I also participate in a various number of school and Chicago-area organizations. Currently, I act as President of UIC Law's Women's Law Caucus, Event Coordinator of UIC Law's Justinian Law Society, and Lead Student Ambassador at UIC Law for BARBRI. In addition, I have the honor of serving as the Student Executive Board Member of the Justinian Society of Lawyers and am an active member of the Chicago Bar Association and Women's Bar Association of Illinois. During the summer of 2022 I worked with UIC Law's Civil Litigation Pro Bono Clinic and received my 711 license. With this position, I was able to directly work with clients, assist them with legal matters, and attend court hearings on their behalf. I graduated from the University of Dubuque a semester early in December of 2019 with a bachelor's degree in Communication. While attending the University of Dubuque, I participated in Cross Country and Track and Field. In addition, I was President of Lambda Pi Eta, the Communication Honors Society on campus, and was an active member of Alpha Chi, the Iowa National Honors Society. As a 3L2, I am looking forward to sitting for the July 2023 Illinois Bar Examination and to practicing law in the Chicagoland area.
