I am a PhD research fellow working in the Molecular Genetics division from CSIR - Indian Institute of Chemical Biology. Presently pursuing research in a RNA Biology Research Laboratory in the domain of molecular biology, cell biology and biochemistry. I am skilled in cell culture, stable cell line generation, real time polymerase chain reaction (qPCR), northern blotting, cloning, in vitro transcription and in vitro translation reaction, immunoblotting, ELISA, sub cellular organelle isolation (microsomes, polysomes), extracellular vesicle (EV) isolation, fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH) and confocal microscopy. I started as a microbiologist harbouring a keen interest in the field of host-pathogen interaction. Additionally, I am passionate about writing and have been writing feature articles for The Telegraph since 2015 focusing primarily on student life and science related articles.
