Dr. Ismail Cicek

Dr Cicek has more than 17 years of engineering/leadership experience in the US Defense industry programs and projects, such as in the following areas: • Aircraft Modernization; Aircraft Systems/Subsystems Development • USAF Aircraft Safe-to-Fly (Airworthiness) Certification • Unmanned Air Vehicle Systems (UAV/UAS) Development and Testing (HIL/SIL tests) Dr Cicek has been providing training on MIL-STD-810 and RTCA-DO-160, testing standards for defense and aviation standarts, since 2009. Dr Cicek is currently teaching at Istanbul Technical University Maritime Faculty, Marine Engineering Department. His area of interests (teaching and research) are - Automation, Automatic Control, Modeling, and Simulation ship engineering systems diesel engines and associated systems. - Maritime Technology & Innovation: Currently teaching MS level courses and providing consultancy to the industrial partners. - Classical Engineering Courses: Engine Room Systems (using Simulators), Vibrations, Ship Propulsions, Control Systems, etc. Additionally, Dr. Cicek has also provided technical expertise and managerial guidance for establishing R&D as well as T&E processes and at various Defense & R&D companies (US DOD Aeromedical Test Lab, Terra Health, TULOMSAS, THY Teknik, CTech, TAI, ...).
