Isuru Devendra

I am an Associate in the London office of Latham & Watkins, specialising in public international law and international arbitration, and qualified in Australia (Barrister and Solicitor) and England & Wales (Solicitor-Advocate). I represent States and investors in investor-State disputes and parties in international commercial arbitrations. I also advise on a range of public international law matters, which experience includes advising on immunities of states and state officials, privileges and immunities of international organisations, international human rights law, international labour law, international criminal law, law of the sea, state responsibility, self-determination, and secession. I also have an active pro bono practice that includes assisting applicants under the UK government's Windrush Compensation Scheme and advising on international refugee law and international human rights law. I am the Secretary of the Asia-Pacific Forum for International Arbitration (AFIA).
