Ivan Lee

Ivan has more than 20 years experience in equity, private equity, cross border M&A, IPO and deal origination, and was consistently ranked as top Power/Utilities equity research analyst during 2006-12. Ivan is the early investment banker on renewable energy back to 2006, helping the first batch of Chinese solar companies listing in the USA. In June 2022, Ivan co-published a report with CUHK (Shenzhen) “2022 Carbon/ESG Rating Report of China’s 100 Oversea Listed Companies” and hosted a “2022 Sustainability Forum” in Shenzhen with 88,100 online participants. Ivan is the RO and CEO of Iridium Capital Limited, the operating committee member and the alternate board of director of Alinta Energy (Australia), a board member of ESG Future Foundation (Australia), a board member of UNSW Digital Grid Futures Institute (Australia), a board of director of Shun Tak Fraternal Association and a board of director of STFA Cheng Yu Tung college. Before joining Iridium Capital, Ivan was the Managing Director and Head of Hong Kong (Investment Banking) in Macquarie Capital (2013-14). Prior to that, Ivan was a Managing Director, Head of Asia Utilities and Head of Asia Resources equity research at HSBC, Lehman Brothers, Nomura and Macquarie during 2000-2013. During the period, Ivan was consistently ranked as top equity research analyst in power, utilities, renewable energy, environmental protection and infrastructure sector in Asia.
