About
Looking back in my life and career I can say with a determination that I get the things done, no matter how long or how hard it gets, always staying on budget and keeping deadlines. As the time goes by, I have learnt about myself that research is really what makes me happy and that it represents a common denominator of the things I love the most, which is discovering new technological frontiers, safeguarding environment, strategic process improvement and helping others. I am really proud to say that in the period of 2.5 years I have been a member of the team that produced the State noise policy, and approved by FHWA in first 8 months of employment, the SOP, then developed noise practitioners workshop attended by over 25 noise practitioners and environmental managers, and agency’s first online interactive noise training ENV1355W – Introduction to ADOT Noise Abatement Requirements. Within the same period, ADOT Environmental Planning as Environmental Science Specialist III (Air and Noise Planner) I came to kick-off the conference Transportation Research Board (TRB) ADC 40 - Noise and Vibration Committee at the National Academy of Sciences in Washington DC, Process Improvement and Streamlining Potential with FHWA TNM 3.0. I am also currently volunteering at TRB ADC 20 - Transportation and Air Quality Committee as TRB's Standing Committee on Transportation and Air Quality (former ADC20) as liaison to Transportation in Developing Countries Committee (former ABE90), submitted two proposals for innovations to Volpe US DOT Research center, one on improving safety of autonomous vehicles by implementation of surface acoustic waves SAW RFIDs and the other one on congruent acoustic characteristics of photovoltaic noise barriers design. In ADOT, I have taken part in two researches by as Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) member, SPR-577 (Quiet Pavement Pilot Program) and SPR-699 (Materials, Properties, and Optimum Geometries of the Design of Noise Walls).
