Ivan Yuan

I am a generalist with a focus on project management and sourcing. I speak Chinese Mandarin and English to native tongue level, giving me an unique edge with deep understanding of both western and eastern culture. I have a continually expanding network of manufacturers and suppliers in both mainland China and Taiwan; some of whom I have a good professional and personal relationship with. Having trained as an engineer, I also have a good general knowledge in the electrical/electronic realm, and a dab in mechanical understanding. I still regularly get my hands dirty with manual soldering of fine pitch components, testing and design peer reviews. Other than my professional life, I am passionate about mountain biking and bicycles in general. But not to be outdone by the human powered variety, I am also a motor enthusiast. Be it petrol, diesel or alternative energy, two wheel, four wheel or big rig, they are all fascinating to me. In the colder months, I tend to spice up my hobbies with skiing and indoor rock climbing. On the more cultural side of things, I play trombone in an orchestra and enjoys going to classical as well as jazz concerts.
