Iwao Tezuka

Since joining TOYO in 1993. I had held position as a process engineer until 1998. I was engaged in several domestic and overseas projects as a process engineer and experienced process designs and operations. In October 1998, I, with process design experiences and knowledge, moved to the department responsible for HSE related design and became a Design HSE Engineer who handles design related to health, safety and environment from the view point of system safety and reliability. Since then I have been engaged in several HSE related analyses or studies. Through my carrier, I have gained affluent experiences and knowledge in leading and/or coordinating major several types of HSE related activities for a variety of facilities such as refinery, petrochemical, fertilizer and nuclear related facilities. With such experiences, I have some experiences in managing engineering HSE management in large scale projects to lead to successful completion of the project in terms of schedule and quality of the HSE engineering in order to achieve project objectives. Not only for specific projects, but I have been assigned HSE Engineering Leader in TOYO and has been made a role of in-house consultant in this field. Such knowledge and skill in reliability field is indispensable for HSE related performance based design. Presently, I am managing and operating HSE Engineering Division which specializing in HSE & Reliability-related design and analysis for chemical plant facilities I own a certificate of the TÜV Functional Safety Engineer on Safety Instrumented System (SIS) which indicates the enough competence in performing design of SISs.
