After co-founding Infobip in early 2006, I have started building the technical side of the company, recruiting experts to design the in-house platform, making sure that the company retains full control over its technical features. Throughout the years, I've been heavily involved in trying to make the best possible overall customer experience, struggling with all the great challenges that every technical lead in telecommunications knows. From trivial slow disk issues, to huge Linux storage, SCCP layer snooping, to handling DDoS attacks, from handling a huge monolithic service to unbundling services and their infrastructure. Of course, trying to do all of this, all the time – simply isn't sustainable. That's where delegating responsibility to trusted and professional people comes in, and lately I've been more involved in organising and coordinating teams. It's a challenge in itself – trying to make them as productive as possible, trying to make their job interesting, challenging and business-oriented, but it comes with its own rewards. Our transition from a single team to many geographically dislocated teams also means a new skill set is required, but I always remain a passionate developer at heart, trying to steal a moment or two to keep the pace with the latest technologies
