30 years working in Aerospace and Defence industries. In Cost Engineering and Estimating including working as part of the Cost Engineering Team within the ESA System Engineering Directorate responsible for Telecommunications and Navigation systems and Science systems. My goals at this time were to improve the accuracy and confidence levels of estimates through common practices, application of parametrics, evaluation of risk and realistic schedules. Since 2016 I took up the position of Business Unit Controller in the Directorate of Technology leading a small team supporting the electrical Department with one of the principle aims to manage the progress of New Technology Development Procurements with Industry in close collaboration with ESA Technical Officers. My personal objective is to bring New Technology to a mature level to enable future ESA Missions and Spacecraft to be developed in reduced time scales.
