Jacob Edwards

I am a graduate from the University of Nevada, Reno with a Bachelors in Hydrogeology and a minor in Mining Engineering where I got experience in soil sampling, field work, mapping, database entry, surveying, and some modeling. Shortly afterwards I was employed by Tetra Tech to do fire remediation following the Camp Fire in Paradise, CA. There my responsibilities involved soil sampling and air monitoring as an Environmental Scientist, as well as a Task Force Leader for rescrape crews. My next couple years were spent working for Verux Inc. As a Stormwater Compliance Technician for construction sites throughout Northern California where I got experience running inspection routes, turbidity sampling, implementation of Best Management Practices, 401(c) sampling, and drafting SWPPP and WPCP documents. I currently work at Yuba County in the Planning Department where I am getting familiar with the public process for a variety of use permits, review building permits for compliance, and solve development related issues per our Yuba County Development Code and General Plan.
