Jacob Fleming

Having recently graduated from Swansea University in English Literature, I am a determined and focused writer who wishes to continually better himself by embracing any and all opportunities that I come across. My studies have helped develop not only my task management skills, but my degree has given me the ability to communicate clearly and effectively as well as allowing me to think and write critically when approaching any subject matter. My semester abroad in Hong Kong widened my perspectives of the world in ways I could not have imagined. Working and making friends with fellow students from across the world was just as much of an enjoyable experience adapting to Asian culture. My personal writing journey started in 2017, where I began writing film reviews on my blog titled 'A Ginger's Journal'. From writing reviews on the most recent film releases, I have taken all that I have learned from working in the Food and Drink/Service industry to write for and edit the food section of the Swansea University student paper. I also enjoy a number of extra curricular activities such as going to the cinema as much as possible, listening to music and attending gigs and festivals, long distance running and the odd Playstation session. Having been both commended and awarded for my efforts in fundraising for charity, I am always looking for causes to raise money for. My efforts in raising money for Against Breast Cancer and The Movember Foundation have seen me receive certificates from the English Speaking Union and Ede and Ravenscroft.
