About
My passion is to work in the Natural Resource Industry with a focus on the conservation of native species. I currently work for the United States Fish & Wildlife Service. This job offers many different opportunities, but my current position focuses on the removal of invasive Bigheaded Carp in major rivers and tributaries. I also get the opportunity to volunteer with the Missouri Department of Conservation as a Hunting Mentor, Hunters Education Instructor, and Protection Volunteer. During my conversation career, I have been able to sample fish using a variety of techniques on high gradient rivers and large reservoirs around the Midwest. I work closely with state biologists and protection staff to insure shared knowledge and cooperation. Interaction with the public is also common because we are often conducting field work in popular recreation areas and targeting some of the states most sought after species. I always enjoy swapping stories and sharing knowledge with those who intrust us to manage their wildlife. I am lucky enough to be able to turn my passion for the outdoors into a career. I believe that nature is one of the greatest things we have on this earth. Therefore it is worth protecting and devoting a lifetime too.
