About

I started my career by graduating from the North West Potchefstroom Campus, with a Bachelors degree in Pharmacy (B.Pharm). While still in high school I did vacation work at a small AlphaPharm pharmacy in Theunissen, Free State. While a student I worked in the Dis-Chem group in various pharmacies to gain more experience to working with different people and to get exposure to different ways of management of these various stores. I became a bursary holder in 2013 and kept my bursary till the end of 2016. I completed my internship in 2017 at Dis-Chem Boksburg North and started with my community service in 2018 as a hospital pharmacist in Parys Districts Hospital in the Free State. Here I had the privellage of working in a multi-dissiplinary team, where I had 8 local area Clinics to look after and in return became the Roving Hospital pharmacist for the Ngwathe local area (Parys and Vredefort). Here I had the oppertunities to learn management skills, crisis control, teamwork, administrative skills and organisational skills. Herewith some of the daily needed skills in being the pharmacist I pride myself in. In 2019 I started as a full-time pharmacist at Dis-Chem Boksburg North where I still find myself till today. I had the oppertunity of being the second in charge, working alongside 20 other staff members in the dispensary alone (6 pharmacist and 14 pharmacist assistants). I belive that it is here where I have developed into the confident pharmacist that I am today, combining all previous gained knowledge and learning on a daily basis. I believe with my determination and driven personality, good people skills and ability to thrive in a multi-dissiplinary environment, having had experience of almost 5 years part-time (retail) and almost 4 years full-time (retail, hospital and clinic) experience, it gives me an advantage in having various skills to be of good value in any pharmaceutical-related industry. I am a quick learner and pride myself in my proffesion. I would love getting my foot in the door in various aspects of the industry, from management, the production sector and hospital or clinic environment. I am hardworking, loyal and adaptable to various environments. I work well within a team and believe that the best work is done in an environment where leadership, work ethics and strong values are of utmost importance. I strive in being professional and excellence in everything I set my mind to. Pressure is where I thrive and where I try my best in succeeding. I continuously try to improve my skills in everything I do.
