Many ask me why I would leave my home state of Hawai’i and move to Colorado. The answer rarely satiates the asker; but the simple summary is because I want to make a difference and create a eudaemonic life. The result, to date, is a diverse cultural background, foundational business education, and specialized safety & access control knowledge that gives me a unique professional skill set. I continue to meld my technical journeyman experience in maintaining a variety of physical access control and life safety systems with my growing granular knowledge of electromechanical security components to develop efficient and effective physical access control systems. I strive to be a leader, mentor, resource, and collaborator among my peers and elevate my contribution to their and the team’s success. My restorative nature drives me to seize opportunities for improvement - personally, professionally, organizationally – and to generate creative solutions to problems of various scale. I want to understand why something is the way it is and challenge the norm perpetuated for norm’s sake. My focus helps me meet personal and organizational goals with priority and efficiency. Asking the necessary questions and applying evidence-based decision-making enables me to analytically approach and tackle complex challenges. Armed with a problem and the wheel, our journey together will not disappoint.
