Jim Burton is a test automation architect with more than 20 years experience, specializing in Visual Basic (VB) program editor automation development environments. Jim has resolved complex project automation tasking using advanced VB conditional programming syntax for HP Military Health and Veterans Administration, Department of Defense, and State government projects at HP. HP tools overview Unified Functional Tester (UFT) and Advanced Lifecycle Management (ALM): • Integrated UFT and ALM for data driven, keyword, and function driven testing. • Integrated ALM with UFT using Open Test Architecture (OTA). • Configured ALM test lab for running SQL Server and Oracle back end SQL queries. • Configured ALM test lab for terminal emulator automation. Recent Projects and Accomplishments: Automation lead for the RTLS Real-Time location system. Completed performance analysis of InSites, Wavemark, and Censitrac applications using LOADRUNNER tools prior to deployment. The results were accepted by the VA. Developed an automated system for testing mobile devices utilized for tagging equipment. The system allowed the project to test multiple scanners simultaneously running bulk tagging. Ohio Medicaid Project (POC: [email protected]) Developed QTP/ALM automated scripts, leveraging the EDS Accelerator framework, to validate the Ohio Single Object Access Protocol (SOAP) web application. United Technologies Project (POC: [email protected]) Developed an end user UFT/ALM performance test to validate the ForeScout program networks. Synchronized Predeployment and Operational Tracker (SPOT) Project (POC: [email protected]) Developed a cross-browser framework in UFT/ALM to validate SPOT functionality in IE8, IE9, IE10, Chrome and Mozilla Fire Fox.
