Dedicated to solving technical problems - technology not for the sake of technology, but applied in a cost-effective manner that improves the lives of the people that use it. The past fourteen years started out by working with NFC technology, working closely with big players in payment such as MasterCard as well as OEM partners such as Nokia and Blackberry to design, document, specify and release customer-facing applications. From there, when the team moved to CPI, I moved into designing and building services to be used by some of the worlds largest, financial institutions. This evolution from startup to enterprise has allowed me to expand and better engineer solutions that are of value, - on time and on budget, as well as meeting strict compliance and security, and allowing horizontally scalable solutions that are cheap to run, and performant. My personal beliefs for technology are: - to produce systems and solutions which really add value to peoples lives - to minimise fuss and hassle around using technology for users - to make the systems I work on to be as secure and safe as possible - to integrate our systems seamlessly into the world I look at developing technology into products in line with the current product set that Proxama offer: a mix of user applications facilitating the life cycle of a payment card on the phone, and using NFC and other hyper localised technology (Audio/visual, BLE) as part of a mixed media marketing campaign to connect users to content and resources. Alongside proximity, I've also worked on emerging technology such as Trusted Execution Environments (TEE) and White-boxing, as well as using newer technology in other areas such as Cloud Computing and bringing the best features from these areas into the organisation.
